Gary Ford has been working with glass for over a decade. Ford developed an extensive knowledge of glass through mastering a variety of techniques associated with glass; cutting, faceting, polishing, drilling and sandblasting.

Ford studied glass blowing under recognized Santa Fe artists. Always having had good hand-eye coordination, Ford found that he had a natural talent for glass blowing. Seeking to further the possibilities of glass art Ford began creating delicate glass jewelry. Architectural elements soon crept into Ford’s jewelry design and he was inspired to create larger, more sculptural pieces. Ford’s glass sculptures require an intense amount of time and attention to detail.

Artist Statement: I enjoy the aesthetics of modern architecture and interior design which lends to the inspiration of my work. I aspire to excited viewers, always pushing the boundaries and possibilities of glass.
