Fall Unveiling

Fairhaven Originals Gallery will be celebrating the change of seasons with the unveiling of their Fall show, Friday September 23rd form 5 – 9 pm. The work of local artists Yvette Neumann, Richard Bulman, Arunas Oslapas and David Milton will be featured throughout the gallery, along with a selection of artists working throughout the country.

fog | Fairhaven Originals Gallery is hosting an appearance by artist Yvette Neumann on the evening of Friday, May 27 from 5pm to 8pm. Neumann will share the inspirations and journeys that manifest themselves in her large abstract canvases. The public is invited to meet this Bellingham artist whose abstract work is a culmination of ideas and impressions of life here in the Pacific Northwest.

FOG will be hosting a rare appearance by acclaimed bronze sculptors Mary and Jacques Regat. The public is invited to meet these prolific artists whose beautiful and varied bronze sculptures can be found in public and private collections throughout the country.

We will be hosting a reception for abstract artist David Milton in the gallery the evening of Friday, March 11 from 5pm to 8pm.

Born and raised in Durban, South Africa, David Milton was strongly influenced by the colors and rhythm of life around him. Says Milton, “The influences of the South African culture of my youth are ever present in my work. Vibrant color, soulful harmony, resonant beat and rhythm and raw emotion permeate my paintings.” Milton’s home base is in Bellingham, Washington. Currently on sabbatical in the Caribbean, Milton and his family cruise, live, work and play aboard the sailing vessel Ubuntu.

The public is invited to meet this abstract artist whose vibrant colors convey energy and movement.

You and your friends and neighbors are invited to Fairhaven Originals Gallery to enjoy featured work by several notable artists from around the world including Douglas Fisher, Nnamdi, Peter Kiss and David Milton. Gallery assistant Jacquelynn Meaker is producing this event to support the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. Jacqui has first-hand knowledge of what good NAAF can do since she herself has been affected by this skin disease her whole life.

The gallery is pledging a portion of the art sales and staff are pledging 100% of their commissions during the event to directly benefit NAAF. Your $5 admission will also directly benefit the Foundation.

The NAAF is a world-wide resource for those affected by alopecia areata. Alopecia areata is a highly unpredictable autoimmune skin disease that results in the loss of hair on the scalp and elsewhere. This common but very challenging and capricious disease affects approximately 1.7 percent of the world’s population, including more than 5 million people in the United States. The lack of public awareness of alopecia areata can have a profound impact on one’s life and functional status, both professionally and socially.

The Foundation provides a network of support, reliable publications, educational conference for families, scholarships and more.

fog | Fairhaven Originals Gallery is hosting an appearance by metal artist Larry McCaffrey in their gallery the evening of Friday, January 14 from 5pm to 8pm. MCaffrey will share his techniques and inspiration behind his large stainless steel and powder coated sculptures. The public is invited to meet this talented artist whose free flowing and gently curved lines create exciting three-dimensional compositions.

Kelley will share the inspirations and intentions behind her captivating canvases. The public is invited to meet this conceptual artist whose evocative abstract paintings incorporate archetypal symbolism and color.

fog | Fairhaven Originals Gallery is hosting an appearance by bronze artist Ann Fleming in their gallery the evening of Friday, November 19 from 5pm to 8pm. Fleming will share the inspirations behind her whimsical bronze sculptures and answer questions. Meet this dynamic and talented artist whose work emanates a familiarity sure to resonate with a variety of people.
